Recently, for his contribution to intelligent processing and efficient computing on RS information, Professor Wang Lizhe from CUG won the 2022 Regional Leadership Award by IEEE Geosciences and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS).

The Regional Leadership Award by IEEE Geosciences and Remote Sensing Society will be awarded to one scientist each year for his or her great scientific, technical or organizational contributions to IEEE GRSS. The candidate must have been in GRSS and IEEE Association for 5 years or more, and have IEEE senior membership of Geosciences and Remote Sensing Society, play a key role and make significant contributions in GRSS regional activities.

The prize will be awarded together with other prizes by International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) at the IGARSS award ceremony.
