Research interests

My interests are focused on stalagmite proxies, e.g. carbon isotope compositions of bulk organic carbon, calcium isotope composition, and associated biogeochemical cycling. I conduct the monitoring of modern processes, with the aim to improve the interpretation of these proxies. Then these stalagmite-based proxies are applied to reconstruct the paleoclimate and paleoenvironmental evolution in central China, with the emphasis on extreme climate events on the decade to centennial timescales.
