1. Lipids indicative of Quaternary vegetation and climate change - Research work conducted covers icecores and snow, loess-paleosol sequences, peat deposits, speleothems and lacustrine sediments.
2. Molecular fossils related to oceanic conditions and biological mass extinction - Research work has partly been conducted at the Triassic/Permian boundary, Triassic/Jurassic boundary.
